We would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to a local business for partnering with the Edmonton Skateboarding Association and making skateboarding more accessible to all, especially during the winter months. A big thank you to Edmonton’s very own “Foam Fighters” for providing us with an indoor space to skate! Without their generosity and willingness to collaborate, many skaters would not have a place to keep doing what they love during the winter.

So far, we have partnered with Foam Fighters to offer skaters 2 incredible skate initiatives:

  1. Project Rad Skate Lessons: beginner-friendly lessons for skaters under 18.
  2. Adult Skate Nights: weekly skate sessions open to adult skaters of all skill levels.

As ESA is a new non-profit organization (established in September 2025), we are thrilled by the positive reception and great turnout we have had for both! Both Foam Fighters and ESA are extremely proud to continue these two initiatives into February, with more details to come soon. We look forward to continuing to work with Foam Fighters to provide the community with even more events that improve accessibility and reduce barriers to skateboarding!

Keep an eye on the Edmonton Skateboarding Association’s social media pages to stay up-to-date with the latest skate events happening in partnership with Foam Fighters, and check out the Foam Fighters’ social media pages to learn more about what this local business has to offer!

A huge thank you to the team behind Foam Fighters for kindly welcoming us into their space and for taking an interest in our passion for skateboarding! We have always been greeted with such kindness, support, and curiosity – qualities that the Edmonton Skateboarding Association is founded on – and deeply value your partnership with ESA! Thank you for all that you do!
