Parking Lot Jam: The Revival!
Mark your calendars: Saturday, May 30, from 10 AM–2 PM, the street of 108 Ave & 124 Street, gets taken over for one of Edmonton’s most beloved annual skate traditions — the 124 Parking Lot Jam.
This is a free, four-hour street jam celebrating everything that makes Edmonton’s skate scene special: community, creativity, and sending it in front of your friends. Whether you’re a seasoned ripper or just learning to push, come out and be part of it.
What’s Going Down
Four obstacles. Four hours. Pure chaos (the good kind).
- Keg Jump — clear the kegs, claim your glory (thanks to Bentstick Brewing for supplying the goods)
- Curb Jam — classic street skating, no frills, all style
- Pole Jam — send it and see what you’ve got
- Spine Sesh — courtesy of Foam Fighters, who are donating their ramps for the day
Plus a DJ keeping the energy dialed all afternoon.
Prizes & Sponsors
We’ve got an incredible lineup of product sponsors throwing in prizes: Globe, Blast Skates, Yepa, Otterly Rad, Prairie Boards, and Spy. You show up and skate — you might leave with some serious new gear.
None of this happens without the people making it possible. Huge thanks to:
- Local 124 Skate Shop — for keeping this tradition alive year after year
- 124 Street Business Association — for sponsoring the day-of costs and making it possible to take over the street
- Foam Fighters — for donating their ramps
- Bentstick Brewing — for the kegs (you know why)
- Project Rad Skateboarding — for sponsoring the event insurance and keeping everyone covered
Check-In & Waiver Info
All participants must sign a waiver and check in at the start of the event. Skaters under 18 will need a parent or guardian to fill out the waiver and sign them in, so plan accordingly and arrive a few minutes early.
Come out, skate hard, and rep your city.
This is a tribute to everything Local 124 has built for Edmonton skateboarding — and a reminder that the community out here is one of a kind.
